Bitcoin Gets A New Partner

Paypal has added bitcoin as one of the medium to trade for sellers of intangible assets like music, games, movies, podcasts, etc.
Paypal explains this step to be one of the 'making-life-simpler' step and says that it will provide convenience for merchants and will make it easier to accept payments in bitcoin.
However, paypal is treading cautiously towards this road, as not to angry people who are becoming against the use of bitcoin.
This is what they have to say about this :-
" To be clear, today’s news does not mean that PayPal has added Bitcoin as a currency in our digital wallet or that Bitcoin payments will be processed on our secure payments platform. PayPal has always embraced innovation, but always in ways that make payments safer and more reliable for our customers. Our approach to Bitcoin is no different. That’s why we’re proceeding gradually, supporting Bitcoin in some ways today and holding off on other ways until we see how things develop. "

Eyewear Technology : Changing the way you see

There are a lot of technology available for your eye, but how many of them have you heard of ?

1. Google Glass

The first breakthrough in successful communication and allowed it's users to record videos, surf the internet, call, receive messages, etc. The glasses were supposed to be a super hit but the practical usage of these glasses was deemed very difficult. It caused many difficulties as you had to move your eyes upwards in order to interact with the glasses. And a new term, for those who were using it and looking stupid ,was made, - The Glassholes. But, whatever the case maybe, Google still remains to be the first one to introduce the eye wearable technology.

2. Oculus Rift

The Rift was one of the first virtual gaming headset type of device which allowed users to play virtual games in front of their eyes. While the company Oculus VR had independently designed them, Samsung collaborated with them to create the Samsung Gear VR innovator edition. The Gear VR became a mobile virtual reality. The Gear is still in production and will be out in 2015.

3. Google Cardboard

Another Google eyewear. But this, unlike others is less costly and you have to make it on your own. Yes, the Google Cardboard, as the name suggests, has to made with cardboard, magnets, velcro, rubber, lenses, etc. You can download the application from Google Play Store and find out what it does. Believe us, you won't be disappointed.

4. Gunnar Optiks

Almost everyone uses Computers, laptops, smartphones and watch television and play games. But, such kind of exposure to naked eyes, damages them and some people might suffer from dry eyes. Gunnar has produced eyewear that prevents just that. It has special lens design that is made to reduce eye damage and prevents dryness. It comes in many different styles and for different purposes as well. People with prescribed glasses can use them as well. But watch out for their prices, because spending so much on just glasses is usually a waste of money for some people.

Verdict

Gorilla Glass Replacement

Gorilla Glass Replacement

The new Sapphire glass was introduced by Apple which was rumored to replace it's original glass, The Gorilla Corning glass made by Corning's Everton. The newer models of iPhone, i.e iPhone 5s introduced the Sapphire glass which was used in the home button to make use of the fingerprint sensor.

GT Advance Tech which is the producer of Sapphire Glass received an order of  $578 million dollars from apple to provide them with the glass, but Apple has not yet given any clue about whether they will be replacing the Gorilla Screen with the new scratch resistance Sapphire Glass, which is not very surprising since Apple has a knack for keeping secrets and keeping its users baffled.

Many believe that Apple is going to acquire shares of GTAT ( GT Advance Tech ), i.e, takeover the company, it can very well be that the production of iPhone 5s and 6 may be in full swing because both these phones use Sapphire Glass for the home key as well as the camera lens.

Verdict

If Apple by any chance starts replacing the screens of the new iPhone with the Saphire screens, it will be a foolish mistake indeed because the Saphire Screen will cost a hefty price of $30 as compared to a very low price of $3 for the Gorilla glass. The price is not the only factor, the protection that Sapphire glass provides is also very less than that of Gorilla glass.

This is what Corning's Senior VP Jeffery Evenson has to say about this matter:

" What would people say if someone invented a cover that was about half the weight, used 99 percent less energy to make, provided brighter displays, and cost less than a tenth of sapphire? I think they'd say that sapphire was in real trouble. It so happens that we at Corning already invented that cover -- and it's called Gorilla Glass. "

The Smartwatch Wars

Smartwatches are the newest wearable tech that is available in the tech market. But before you buy any of the watch blindly, check out our review of some of the best watches available.

1. Samsung Galaxy Gear

Samsung, added a new galaxy gear to its previous smartwatches collection. And unlike any other smartwatch, this one can receive calls and messages without the use of smartphones. 2. LG G Watch R

LG was the first one to launch the smartwatch collection, but the least liked one as well. The LG G Watch R is the successor of LG G Watch. The design of the watch is very similar to that of a regular analog watch and boasts of nothing special. It has a display size of 1.3 P-Oled and a 410 mah battery. It also has a 4 gb internal memory and a 512 mb ram with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The design has been made sleeker and it is the first smartwatch with a full round display.

3. Asus Zenwatch

Asus has also entered the watch market with it's Zenwatch. Having the same display of Samsung Galaxy gear with 1.63" inches and 320 * 320 differentiates itself with the 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which makes it the best of display in the smartwatches category. With the memory of 4 gb internal and 512 md ram it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. It has been known to be the cheapest of the smartphones, yet.

4. Sony Smartwatch 3

The other features will be revealed at the release date which is known to be November of 2014.

6. Apple Smartwatch

A simple name yet the most anticipated smartwatch of the year. It was released along with the iPhone 6 in September and still the specifications of the device have not yet been disclosed. The only thing known is that it will come in three variants -

  ( i ) Apple Smartwatch

This is the most basic model of the Apple smartwatch series and it comes in a stainless steel case along with interchangeable wristbands.

( ii ) Apple Watch Sport

This is the sports version of the Apple Watch and has been made for people who are involved in sports a lot, i.e it is made for wear and tear.

( iii ) Apple Watch Edition

This is the premium version of the Apple Watches and also the most expensive one as it comes in a 18 Karat gold cases and extremely good looking bands.

Final Verdict

All the Smartwatches mentioned above have their own specialities and disadvantages. Everyone will have different needs and every watch fulfills different needs. If you need a powerful and work oriented watch go for Samsung or Lg, whereas Sony fulfills the want for a good looking and sleek watch. If you are a little tight on budget Asus offers a good smartwatch which does not burns a hole in your pocket, but if you are a brand buff and don't mind spending hefty money on a tech watch go for Apple and you won't be disappointed. All we can say is that there are a lot more of these watches coming into the market which will start a war much like smartphones and the price will fall, therefore those who wait might land up getting a better Smarthwatch at a lower price in another 6 months or so.

Impact Of Launch Of Iphone 6

The Apple iPhone was first launched in July of 2007, since then every year a new version of iPhone generation was introduced.

And now in September of 2014, the two new versions of iPhone 6, namely iPhone 6 ( Original) and iPhone 6 Plus, sporting a screen of 4.7 and 5.5 inches respectively. While these iPhone's may be the costliest iPhone Initial price, they may be very helpful in India for reducing the price of its predecessor, the iPhone 5s. The 16 GB version of 5s saw cut down from the MRP of  Rs 53,000 to 44,500 and 32 GB version went from Rs 62,500 to 49,500. While this is just the start, the launch of the new iPhone's may lead to more price falls. The launch is scheduled to be around mid Diwali, but it may be slogged down to New year's.
However, the Internet prices of the iPhone 5s were already lower than the actual MRP. they were 36,000 to 38,000 depending on the different websites.
Apple is taking chances with the new and bigger iPhone and probably may cut down more prices in order to gain customers, especially in India which has been it's main benefactor over the years of iPhone reigning.
